Tyson Farmer

Since first starting to teach guitar and bass in 1991, Tyson Farmer has been passionate about teaching music. Tyson studied classical guitar at Kennesaw College and jazz guitar at Georgia State University, and is versed in playing and teaching a wide variety of music genres and playing styles. He has also participated in several choirs and took vocal lessons in a variety of different styles through his formative years, adding vocal lessons to his teaching skill-set in 1998.
Tyson has since been singing and playing the guitar professionally as a solo act for restaurants, private parties, and weddings, and with many wedding and corporate bands in the Georgia and the Southeast area for several decades. His years of teaching in music stores from small neighborhood stores to "big box" corporate locations have given him a fun and easygoing, yet focused approach to teaching music.
At Canton Music Shoppe he teaches guitar of all styles, bass guitar, ukulele, banjo, beginning piano, harmonica, music theory, and singing lessons. Outside of teaching and performing music, he enjoys computer programming, hiking and camping, and traveling
