Tyson studied classical guitar at Kennesaw College and jazz guitar at Georgia State University, and is versed in playing and teaching a wide variety of music genres and playing styles. He has also participated in several choirs and took vocal lessons in a variety of different styles through his formative years, adding vocal lessons to his teaching skill-set in 1998.
Tyson has since been singing and playing the guitar professionally as a solo act for restaurants, private parties, and weddings, and with many wedding and corporate bands in the Georgia and the Southeast area for several decades.
