Tyler’s musical journey started at a young age. His parents and grandparents were a constant source of exposure to music. His grandfather had been a musician in the 1950’s. When Tyler was 14, he came across his grandfather’s guitar and became interested in learning to play. His grandfather taught him everything he remembered. Soon after, Tyler started taking guitar lessons through his church.
After graduating high school, he went on to study classical guitar at Reinhardt University, under the guidance of Dr. Matthew Anderson. While in attendance, Tyler was a performing member of the guitar ensemble. He graduated cum laude from Reinhardt University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Music. Since graduating, Tyler has continued to pursue his passion by performing in a local band, Whiskey Tango.
Tyler has experience teaching guitar to various age groups. He enjoys being able to pass along his knowledge and love of music to others.
