Description:

Up for sale is a preowned 2016 Gibson SG Special Faded T Electric Guitar in Worn Brown. This is the stripped-down, player-focused side of the USA-made SG lineup, with a thin satin nitro finish, simple dot-inlay rosewood board, and the tried and true mahogany/set-neck construction. This example is in good cosmetic condition, and plays great. Nice lightweight USA Gibson for a great price!

The SG Special Faded T features a solid mahogany body, set mahogany neck with Gibson’s SG Slim profile, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, and a 24.75" scale length. A Gibson 490R humbucker at the neck and 490T at the bridge plus the traditional SG control layout of two volume controls, two tone controls, and a 3-way selector. Hardware consists of a Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, vintage-style tuners, and chrome hardware. The Worn Brown finish is a thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer that gives these guitars a more broken-in feel and allows normal handling wear to show naturally over time.

This example is in good condition with several bumps, dings, scratches, and other marks from normal use. The thin Faded finish makes cosmetic wear more apparent than on a heavier gloss-finished SG, and this one has definitely been played rather than kept as a case queen. Importantly, the frets remain in excellent condition and the guitar plays extremely well, so the wear is just cosmetic on this one.
