Up for sale is a really cool, and hard to find, 2014 Ibanez RG9QM 9-String in Black Ice finish over a quilted maple top. 28" scale, and low string tuned down to C# ... this thing is the ultimate extended range metal machine!
These were made from 2014 to 2018, and the earlier ones (like this one) had a rosewood fingerboard (vs. jatoba on later models), and a maple/bubinga neck (vs. maple/walnut on later models). High output ceramic custom Ibanez pickups, and super flexible 5-way switching that opens up tonal options of a neck pickup in parallel and the split inside coils of each pickup.
Factory tuning is 1E 2B 3G 4D 5A 6E 7B 8F# 9C# on 0.009 to 0.090 strings. Dual truss rods keep the wide neck straight and true. Gibraltar Standard II bridge, and Ibanez Wizard-9 neck.
The guitar is in great shape, but does have some small dings and marks form normal use. Very clean overall, and the neck/frets are in great shape. Truss rods work as the should in both directions.
