Here's a cool one you don't see very often. This is a 2008 Epiphone ZV Custom Zakk Wylde Signature in Black. Basically, a hybrid of an SG and a Flying V, the ZV shape was designed by Zakk and only offered as a signature Gibson and Epiphone model. Already becoming a bit of collectors item, and likely to continue to appreciate since Zakk is now making his own line of guitars.
Kinda cool in that it solves one major pain of Flying Vs ... that you can't comfortably sit down with them. This one is easy to play sitting or standing.
The former owner swapped out the EMG-HZs for a real set of active EMG 81/85s which is a huge upgrade. 9V battery fits nicely under the control cavity cover.
The guitar has definitely been played, but its in good shape overally. It has small chips / dings at the backside edge of each wing tip, and other small scuffs here and there. Pick swirling present under the pickups, but the finish is otherwise glossy and clean. Frets are in great shape, and the truss rod works smoothly in each direction. Setup with 10s in D Standard, and the tuning is very stable.
Tested 100% fully functional. No case, box or accessories.
As always, this guitar has been treated to a brand new set of strings and a deluxe setup here in the shop. That includes a full fret polish, setting neck relief / truss rod, dialing in nut slot height and string action, setting the pickup height and more! So, you can rest assured that it is playing its absolute best!
