Description:

Black Pearl. This one comes from the golden era of the Japanese-made JS models and is loaded with the specs players love: smooth neck, great trem system, and a killer pickup combo. JS model Ibanez guitars are a really great departure from the standard RG and metal-oriented models in their lineup ... it is still built for speed and heavy tones, but in a really classic and comfortable shape. This one is a joy to play.

It also has the (in our opinion) more desirable Edge Pro tremolo. Ibanez switched this model to the standard Edge in 2010, but this has the better trem since its an earlier model.

It’s got DiMarzio PAF Pro in the neck and a Fred in the bridge—plenty of bite and clarity, but not harsh. The neck is slim and rounded in that familiar JS carve, and it feels great all the way up. The Edge Pro tremolo stays rock solid once it's dialed in, and the aftermarket Schaller strap locks are a nice bonus for anyone playing out.

Overall condition is excellent with just one small ding on the treble-side cutaway horn. Other than that, it's super clean. Frets and neck are in excellent shape, and the truss rod works smoothly in both directions. Comes with the original hardshell case, trem arm, paperwork, the Ibanez tool pouch, and one of the original strap buttons.

As with all our guitars, it’s been through a full setup here in the shop: fresh strings, truss rod and relief adjusted, frets polished, action and intonation dialed in, and pickup height balanced. It’s ready to go right out of the case.
