Description:

Up for sale is a preowned 2005 Fender Classic Series ’72 Telecaster Deluxe in a modified natural oil finish, a well-loved player-grade example of Fender’s wide-range–era Tele design. This guitar started life in the standard Walnut Stain finish, which was at some point stripped and left as a natural, oil-rubbed finish that lets the wood grain show through and gives the instrument a broken-in, utilitarian look.

Features include an alder body, bolt-on maple neck with a 25.5" scale length, maple fingerboard, dual humbuckers, and Tele Deluxe–style hardware. The electronics have been modified from the original four-knob layout to a simplified master volume and master tone configuration, with one of the original control positions removed in favor of a button-style kill switch. Aside from these changes, the guitar remains structurally sound and set up to play well.

Frets are in good shape but show some light play wear, the truss rod functions properly, and the tuners are solid and stable.
