Description:
Up for sale is a super cool and hard to find Yamaha Pacifica 912J from 1996. This was the flagship Pacifica model at the time, and you just don't see them that often (especially in the US market). HSS pickups designed by DiMarzio for Yamaha, and the RM-Pro II double locking tremolo system. Clearly geared towards the shredder audience, but this is a really versatile guitar and has some really nice vintage-esque single coil tones on tap.
Typical rock solid Yamaha build quality, particularly from this golden era when Yamaha was really pushing the Pacifica series with their US-based custom shop doing most of the product development.
We are calling this color "metallic berry" because we can't find the actual name of the finish in any of the catalogs. Its a metallic pink-ish / red-ish color that looks great in person.
Tested 100% fully functional. Comes with a really nice teardrop shaped hardshell case. Very good condition overall. A few small blemishes here and there, including a tiny ding on the bass side horn. Some pick swirling and that sort of thing from normal use over the years. Frets are in excellent shape, and the truss rod works smoothly in both directions.
As always, this guitar has been treated to a brand new set of strings and a deluxe setup here in the shop. That includes a full fret polish, setting neck relief / truss rod, dialing in nut slot height and string action, setting the pickup height and more! So, you can rest assured that it is playing its absolute best!
