Description:

Cherry Sunburst finish, made in Korea. This one is part of the EX series—a line that often flew under the radar but delivers serious performance and value. It features a sharp double-cutaway body (RG-esque but a bit more rounded all around), Ibanez’s classic HSH pickup layout, and a double locking Lo-TRS tremolo bridge.

The the FM in the name is related to flamed maple top, but we admit this particular guitar has a fairly limited figuring. That said, transparent cherry sunbust is a cool and unusual finish for an Ibanez and really pops under the gloss finish and against the gold hardware. The thin maple neck with a rosewood fretboard plays fast and smooth, with a comfortable slim profile typical of Ibanez guitars from this era.
