Universal Audio UAFX Evermore Studio Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal

The Universal Audio UAFX Evermore Studio Reverb brings the grainy ambience and unmistakable modulation of late-'70s digital studio reverb to UA's compact single-footswitch pedal format. Built from the Hall 224 algorithms developed for the flagship Golden Reverberator, Evermore recreates the early-digital character of a classic studio reverb unit with Room, Small Hall, and Large Hall programs ranging from tighter spaces to long, atmospheric decay.

The three reverb programs have noticeably different responses. Room provides moderate-to-high initial density with relatively little coloration, Small Hall has a brighter and somewhat less uniform decay, and Large Hall starts with lower density and is optimized for long reverb times. A dedicated Mod control adds movement to the reverb tail, ranging from subtle chorus-like modulation to heavier warble as it is turned up.

Bass, Mid, and Treble make up Evermore's vintage-style decay section, but they do not function like a conventional three-band EQ. Mid establishes the basic reverb length, while Bass adjusts how long low frequencies below 540Hz continue to decay. Treble changes the frequency above which the reverb decays rapidly, letting you make the tail darker and shorter on top or extend more high-frequency ambience. Extreme decay settings can even push the modeled 12-bit architecture into the same self-oscillation and overload behavior as the original vintage hardware.

A rear-panel Predelay switch adds a short delay before the reverb begins, helping keep the original note attack separate from larger ambient sounds. The second rear-panel switch selects True or Trails bypass. True bypass cuts the existing reverb tail immediately when the effect is switched off, while Trails mode uses buffered bypass and allows the tail to decay naturally.
