Strymon blueSky Reverberator Pedal V2
Higher Elevation.
The second-generation blueSky takes Strymon’s compact reverb platform further with expanded tone shaping, an upgraded spring algorithm, new Shimmer sounds, full MIDI implementation, and updated analog and digital hardware. From realistic vintage-style ambience to huge atmospheric reverbs with long, evolving tails, blueSky V2 is built to cover traditional spring and studio sounds as well as expansive ambient textures.
Three distinct reverb types form the core of blueSky: Plate, Room, and Spring. Plate delivers the smooth, crisp character of classic studio plate reverbs, while Room can move from intimate spaces to arena-sized ambience. Spring recreates the splash and character of vintage spring reverb circuits with an updated algorithm designed for both traditional spring sounds and more experimental textures.
Dedicated Low and High controls provide detailed tone shaping within the reverb, while Pre-Delay determines how much space appears between the dry signal and the beginning of the reverb. Decay ranges from short reflections to extremely long reverberation tails, and Mix moves from completely dry through a 50/50 blend to 100% wet.
Expanded Shimmer.
The dedicated Shimmer control behaves differently with each reverb type. Plate adds regenerative octave-up pitch shifting, Room adds an octave plus a fifth, and Spring produces an octave-down pitch effect with adjustable LFO behavior. This makes Shimmer useful for everything from subtle added dimension to deep, evolving ambient sounds.
A three-position Mod switch provides Off, Light, and Deep modulation settings. Light adds subtle movement by modulating the internal reverb delay lines, while Deep adds additional modulation to the signal entering the reverb structure for a more pronounced effect.
More Control. More Connectivity.
blueSky V2 features a premium high-impedance, ultra-low-noise discrete Class A JFET input stage for responsive feel and excellent signal integrity. A rear-panel Input switch selects mono or TRS stereo operation, with independent left and right outputs for full stereo signal paths.
The input can also be configured for instrument or line level. Line-level mode provides an additional 10dB of headroom, making blueSky well suited for synthesizers, active instruments, amplifier effects loops, vocals, and other line-level sources.
Full MIDI implementation allows remote control of nearly every knob, switch, and parameter through the EXP/MIDI jack or USB-C connection. Up to 300 MIDI presets can be stored and recalled, while the dedicated Favorite footswitch provides immediate access to a saved setting without an external controller.
The EXP/MIDI jack also supports a standard TRS expression pedal, Strymon MiniSwitch, MultiSwitch Plus, or TRS MIDI connection. USB-C provides computer MIDI connectivity and firmware updates.
