Strymon Mobius Multidimensional Modulation Pedal

The Mobius brings twelve studio-class modulation machines together in one powerful and highly flexible pedal. Drawing from decades of classic modulation sounds while extending them with modern control and processing, Mobius covers everything from rich vintage chorus, flanger, rotary, vibe, phaser, and tremolo sounds to rhythmic patterns, filters, auto-swell textures, lo-fi processing, and more experimental modulation.

The twelve modulation machines include Chorus, Flanger, Rotary, Vibe, Phaser, Filter, Formant, Vintage Trem, Pattern Trem, Autoswell, Destroyer, and Quadrature. Each machine offers its own set of adjustable parameters, while the two assignable Param controls provide quick access to the settings you use most. Speed, Depth, and Level controls keep essential adjustments immediately available from the front panel.

Mobius stores up to 200 nameable presets that can be recalled from the pedal or selected through MIDI. A dedicated Tap footswitch provides real-time control of modulation speed, with selectable tap subdivisions and an optional Global Tap Tempo mode. Full MIDI implementation provides control over presets, parameters, switches, and MIDI clock synchronization.

Strymon’s Pre/Post Mode adds another level of routing flexibility by allowing Mobius to occupy two different positions within a mono signal chain without physically moving or reconnecting the pedal. This makes it possible to place a modulation effect before a drive pedal for one preset and after it for another while retaining the same pedalboard wiring.

Stereo inputs and outputs make Mobius equally suited to mono or stereo rigs, while the expression input can control any knob or combination of knobs and save those assignments individually with each preset. The expression connection can also be configured for an external tap switch.

Mobius uses premium analog input and output circuitry together with 24-bit/96kHz A/D and D/A conversion and 32-bit floating-point processing. Its +8dBu maximum input level accommodates both instrument- and line-level signals, while selectable True Bypass and Analog Buffered Bypass modes allow the pedal to integrate with a wide variety of rigs.
