Strymon Iridium Amp & IR Cab Pedal

The Iridium delivers the response and feel of three iconic tube amplifiers, nine high-resolution impulse response speaker cabinets, and adjustable natural room ambience in a compact pedalboard-friendly format. Designed for going direct, Iridium gives you familiar amp-style controls and inspiring amplifier and cabinet tones without the need to carry, crank, or mic a traditional guitar amp.

Strymon’s Matrix Modeling™ process captures the circuitry and response of three distinct amplifier designs. The Round amp is based on a Fender® Deluxe Reverb®, Chime is based on the Brilliant channel of a Vox® AC30, and Punch is based on a Marshall® Plexi Super Lead. Each model extends beyond the range of the original design, adding useful tonal flexibility while maintaining the character and dynamic response of the amp that inspired it.

Each amplifier can be paired with one of three cabinet choices, for a total of nine stereo speaker cabinet IRs. Iridium processes its cabinet impulse responses at full 24-bit / 96kHz resolution for the entire 500ms IR length and comes loaded with a curated collection from OwnHammer, Celestion®, cabIR, and Valhallir. Your own compatible IR files can also be loaded into the nine cabinet slots using Strymon Impulse Manager.

Iridium’s Room control adds natural ambience using a hybrid design that combines captured room impulse responses with algorithmic reverb for extended decay. Small, medium, and large room sizes are available, allowing the amp and cabinet sound to sit in a realistic acoustic space rather than sounding completely dry and isolated.

A premium stereo high-impedance discrete JFET analog front end works together with Strymon’s SHARC and ARM processing architecture for responsive playing dynamics and low-noise performance. Iridium accepts mono or stereo signals, operates with instrument- or line-level sources, and provides stereo outputs along with a dedicated stereo headphone output.

Iridium also integrates easily into larger pedalboard and MIDI systems. The EXP/MIDI connection supports expression control, volume pedal operation, external preset selection, and full MIDI parameter control. One Favorite can be recalled directly from the pedal, MultiSwitch Plus provides access to four presets, and MIDI expands preset access to 300 locations.
