JHS 3 Series Fuzz Pedal

Low in-store inventory, may be subject to change.

The JHS 3 Series Fuzz is a versatile fuzz designed to balance vintage character with modern usability. Based around a classic 1960s-style two-transistor fuzz architecture, it delivers soaring sustain and clear articulation while responding naturally to your guitar’s volume control. Roll the guitar back for cleaner textures, or open it up for full fuzz saturation.

Volume sets the overall output level, while Fuzz controls clipping and saturation across a deliberately wide and usable range. Unlike many vintage-style fuzz circuits where much of the gain control is concentrated near the top of the sweep, the 3 Series Fuzz is designed to produce useful sounds throughout the entire Fuzz control range. Lower settings can move into distortion and pushed-amplifier-style overdrive, while higher settings deliver thicker, more saturated fuzz.

Bias directly affects the operating voltage of the second transistor in the fuzz circuit. Increasing the Bias control introduces a more gated, sputtering response, allowing the pedal to move from smoother sustain into broken-up, voltage-starved fuzz textures.

The Fat toggle engages a bass boost for a fuller, more powerful response. This makes it easy to add additional low-end weight when using brighter guitars or when a thicker fuzz sound is needed.

Like the rest of the JHS 3 Series, the Fuzz uses a straightforward three-knob layout with one additional toggle switch. Each 3 Series pedal is made by JHS in Kansas City, Missouri using high-quality components with careful quality control and attention to detail.
