Description:

Up for sale is a preowned 1980s Fernandes Limited Edition “Special Hand” Jazz Bass in Vintage White. Fernandes instruments from this era—especially their MIJ (Made in Japan) runs—are known for high build quality and faithful reproductions of classic designs. This one comes from the “Special Hand” line, a limited-production series built with extra care at the factory, making it stand out from the typical export Fernandes models of the time.

It’s a straight-ahead Jazz Bass build with dual single-coil pickups, an alder body, and a slim, comfortable maple neck. The Vintage White finish has aged beautifully over time, giving it a bit of that classic vibe players look for in an older J-style bass.

Condition is good. It shows normal playwear for its age, including finish wear, small dings, and surface scratches, but no major cracks or structural issues. The frets are in solid shape, the neck is straight, and the electronics are working as intended. No case is included.

It has been fully set up in our shop with fresh strings, truss rod and neck relief adjusted, frets polished, action dialed in, and pickup height balanced. It’s playing well and ready to go.
