Description:
Up for sale is a preowned Crate G-600 60w 2-channel solid-state guitar amplifier head in good condition. Built by St. Louis Music (who owned and operated Ampeg at the time) in the early 1990s, this is the original G-600 model with the block-stlye logo. It's a really great low cost option for getting good, loud and reliable tone. Plus real spring reverb!
To us, it has a Marshall-y type sound. Clean channel is loud and clear, and the gain channel goes from mild overdrive to scooped fury with the interplay of the "Gain" and "Shape" controls.
Features include a 60-watt solid-state power section, clean and overdrive channels, true spring reverb, a line out / line in FX loop (could also be used as a direct out into a cab simulation), and a simple control layout for dialing in a variety of tones. This example is in good condition overall with cosmetic wear consistent with normal use for its age. Little dusty, but everything is working great.
