Descripton:
Just in on consignment, a very cool Tacoma Chief C1C acoustic electric. This is one of those "if you know, you know" type instruments. Tacoma is no longer in business, but they have a passionate following of players who recognize the innovation and build quality of these instruments. They don't come up for sale all that often. There's only a couple others on Reverb at the time of this listing, and this one appears to be in the best shape.
Made in USA, the Chief C1C is a unique slim body design with a bolt-on neck and a slim almost electric guitar type neck. Very easy to play, and sounds fantastic plugged in or amplified.
Comes with the original Tacoma hardshell case as pictured.

Tested 100% fully functional. Very good condition overall, but it does show some play wear. There a few small dings here and there, particulary along the treble side body edge, which you can see in the pictures. But, the neck is straight, frets are great, and the truss rod works smoothly in both directions. A joy to play this one!
As always, this guitar has been treated to a brand new set of strings and a deluxe setup here in the shop. That includes a full fret polish, setting neck relief / truss rod, dialing in nut slot height and string action, setting the pickup height and more! So, you can rest assured that it is playing its absolute best!
